Flight Changes

Need to change your flight? In order to do so, we need to know the type of fare you purchased before we can advise or issue any change. Flight changes are any changes made to a confirmed and ticketed reservation. Please identify your category if your travel date has not expired:

For all tickets we need to know the passengers name, flight number and date of travel. If your travel date has passed we will need to know your booking code/ reservation reference. This may be found on your ticket under the PNR code. We also need your fare basis/ ticket designator which can be found on your ticket. This information assists us in finding the rules of the fare you purchased. If none of the above can be found we will be required to take your ticket to the nearest Iraqi Airways Ticket Office. A legible fax of your ticket may also be of assistance.

Before purchasing your ticket, we recommend that all passengers become familiar with the rules governing the fare you paid. Pay particular attention to penalties pertaining to date changes, no-show, and cancellation, minimum and maximum stay. Double penalties may apply if you did not call to advise of any flight changes.

Note that if you no-showed for a flight, your return travel will be automatically cancelled in the system. The explanation is simple - if you did not leave your first point of travel, you will not be able to return. As such, no-show, date change, revalidation and/or reissue penalties will apply.

Likewise if you purchased your ticket from a Travel Agent, we also recommend you contact the Travel Agent for assistance, as requesting this information from external agencies (such as Tour Operators and Travel Agents) will require 5 working days.
